ABOUT SONJA
Sonja is the author of three biographies, a travel guide and a book of short stories. She has worked as a journalist, editor, magazine contributor and correspondent in Hamburg, Germany, New York and Los Angeles for petra, COSMOPOLITAN, MAX and Architectural Digest. She currently lives in Pacific Palisades with her husband and their dog.
She has studied short story and creative writing at UCLA and loves to listen to short story Podcasts. Her favorites are The New Yorker Fiction, PRI - Selected Shorts and The Moth.
In 2016 she started the “Palisades Woman’s Writers Group” - PaliPens - which attracted incredibly talented women from her neighborhood who are all working on promising projects. The group meets every month.
Her stories were recently performed at the New Short Fiction Series in Los Angeles, where established actors brought her characters to life.
